Below, you’ll find some key information that outlines our approach to wildlife, safety, and the practicalities of booking an expedition with us. These principles reflect our commitment to ethical adventure travel and are included in the liability release you’ll be asked to sign before each trip.
Wildlife Sightings Disclaimer
Our expeditions are designed to give you the best possible chance of encountering Baja’s iconic marine species—whether it’s the dazzling Mobula ray migrations, majestic marlins, playful dolphins, or graceful sharks. We time our trips carefully to align with seasonal patterns and migration windows for maximum opportunities.
That said, nature doesn’t run on a schedule. While we do occasionally encounter orcas and other large cetaceans, sightings of these animals are less predictable. On average, orcas are seen about 4–6 times per month during peak season. We will always give our all to locate wildlife—but we never make promises that nature might not keep.
Our commitment: We set honest expectations and deliver awe-inspiring experiences based on deep local knowledge, not unrealistic guarantees.
Wildlife Interaction Policy
If you're drawn to Baja, chances are it’s the wildlife that called you here—and we respect that deeply. However, our commitment to conservation and animal welfare means we put the needs of wildlife first, always.

We only enter the water when it's safe, respectful, and appropriate to do so. If an animal shows signs of stress, avoidance, or behavioral changes that suggest discomfort, we do not pursue or pressure it for interaction.
Our philosophy: Encounters must be earned through patience, presence, and respect. The ocean gives on its own terms, and we believe that’s what makes it magical.
Safety & Liability
Adventure always carries some level of risk—especially in the wild environments we explore. We take every reasonable measure to minimize those risks, including using experienced local captains, maintaining well-equipped boats, and operating with the highest safety standards.

Before departure, all participants will be required to sign a liability waiver. This document is not just a formality—it outlines the inherent risks involved and confirms mutual understanding.
Our approach: Safety is our number one priority—for our guests, our crew, and the wildlife.
Cancellation Policy
When you book with us, your payment goes directly toward securing the specialized services that make your expedition possible—boats, guides, captains, accommodations, and more. Many of the local partners we work with have a short seasonal window for income, and cancellations can have a significant ripple effect.

Because of this, all payments are final and non-refundable. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes coverage for trip interruption, delays, or cancellations.
If unforeseen circumstances arise, please reach out. While we cannot guarantee refunds, we’ll do what we can to work with you or help you rebook.

Our commitment: We support fair and sustainable business practices for all our local partners, and we ask for your understanding in doing the same.
Weather & Conditions Policy
The sea can be unpredictable, and your safety is never something we compromise. If weather or ocean conditions are deemed unsafe, we may need to cancel or adjust the day’s activities. In such cases, we’ll make every effort to offer an alternative experience—whether it's relaxing on beautiful Balandra Beach or exploring the unique coastal ecosystems of mangrove forests and dunes.
For multi day expeditions, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations due to weather or other uncontrollable events as these trips rely on pre-booked boats, guides, and accommodations. On day trips, we are happy to offer refunds due to weather cancelations or reschedule when possible.
